Pulmonary rehabilitation

Pulmonary rehabilitation improves not only a patient’s exercise capacity and health status, but also their psychological well-being. If a patient is suitable and the service is available, it should certainly be a preferred treatment option. Furthermore, with a cost of £2000–£8000 per QALY, pulmonary rehabilitation is a high-value intervention for treating COPD.
