NICE Pneumonia (hospital-acquired): antimicrobial prescribing [NG139]
Posted on: 24 Oct 2019This guideline released in September 2019, sets out an antimicrobial prescribing strategy for adults, young people, children and babies aged 72 hours and over with a confirmed diagnosis of hospital‑acquired pneumonia. It does not cover ventilator‑associated pneumonia. It aims to optimise antibiotic use and reduce antibiotic resistance.
