BTS/SIGN 158 British guideline on the management of asthma
Posted on: 7 Aug 2019BTS/SIGN published a new guideline for the management of asthma in July 2019.
The guideline provides recommendations for the diagnosis, monitoring and pharmacological treatment of asthma. It also outlines suggestions for the organisation and delivery of care, such as telehealthcare and pharmacist-led interventions.
PCRS welcomes this highly respected guideline and has produced a Briefing Paper outlining its position on the guidance. The Briefing Paper also provides further clarity for clinicians about areas of asthma diagnosis and management not covered by the guideline.
